We spent thirty years behind the chair. Threads on Design is everything we wished we'd had while we were standing there.

Threads on Design is our family — a small crew with more than thirty years on the salon floor behind us. We're not outsiders who spotted a market. We spent decades behind the chair, building clientele one appointment at a time, and we know exactly what it takes to show up and do this work every single day.

For years we watched talented stylists spend their own money on cheap, generic workwear that faded, frayed, and said nothing about who they were. Eventually we got tired of watching. Threads on Design is what we built instead — workwear worthy of the person wearing it.

Where it began

Born on the
salon floor

Our family has been in the beauty industry since the early 1990s. We came up the way most stylists do — long days on our feet, learning clients by name, and being part of their lives through weddings, big changes, and everything in between. If you've ever finished an eight-hour shift with tired hands and a full heart, you know exactly the life we came from.

Somewhere along the way, something started to bug us. The people doing some of the most skilled, physical, creative work in any industry were stuck wearing gear that looked like an afterthought — not because they didn't care, but because the good options simply weren't there. We knew we could do better, and we knew exactly who we'd be doing it for.

What drives us

Made for
hard workers

Everything we make starts with a picture of a real day in the salon — on your feet from open to close, rinsing color off your hands between clients, and still expected to look sharp when your next appointment walks through the door. That's a lot to ask of a person. It's also a lot to ask of an apron, so we build ours ready for it.

We choose fabrics that shrug off water, chemicals, and endless wash cycles, and we stitch every letter with care — because your name on that apron isn't decoration. It's your brand, your reputation, and your livelihood.

Staying small on purpose

Family first,
always

We're not a warehouse, and we're not a dropshipper. We're a family, and we like it that way. Staying small means hands-on — we catch the crooked stitch before it ships, and we look over every piece of embroidery ourselves before it leaves for your door.

Most of all, we believe in relationships that feel like partnerships. Your name goes on our work, and our work goes out under your name — so your reputation and ours are stitched together, literally.

Value one

Quality you can see

If it isn't sharp, clean, and built to survive a real working salon, it doesn't leave our shop. No compromises, no shortcuts.

Value two

Respect for the craft

Styling is skilled work, and skilled work deserves real gear — built to match the care you bring to your chair every day.

Value three

Community over competition

This industry gave our family everything. Threads on Design is how we give it back, one stylist at a time.
