A cape has to fall away from a client. An apron has to stand up to a full day on the floor. Different jobs, so different cloth.
A finely woven, lightweight polyester with a close, almost silk-like hand. It falls rather than stiffens, so a cape sits properly on a client instead of standing away from them, and the matte surface keeps it looking professional under salon lighting rather than shiny in photos. Light enough that a client barely notices it through a long service.
A high-count, high-density worsted suiting cloth, noticeably thicker than the cape fabric, with the drape that only comes with a bit of weight. It resists creasing through a long shift and sheds a splash rather than drinking it in, so it still looks pressed at six o'clock.

Ordering & customization
What's included in the bundle?
Two salon aprons and four styling capes, each custom embroidered with your lettering. You choose the text (up to three lines), and the font, thread color and letter height for each line. The stitch width is worked out for you from your longest line, so you are never charged for room you are not using.
Can the capes and aprons say different things?
Yes. By default your aprons match your capes, but on the order page you can switch off “Same as cape” and enter completely separate lettering — different text, fonts, and colors.
Can every line be a different font and color?
Yes — each line has its own font and thread color. Mix a script name with block lettering underneath, in different colors, however you like. The live preview shows exactly what you've built.
How big is the embroidery?
Letters come in three heights — 25 mm, 32 mm or 38 mm (1, 1.25 or 1.5 inches) — and you pick the height on every line. The width of the design is worked out from your longest line: capes are stitched up to 180 mm (about 7.1 inches) as standard, with Large at 210 mm (8.3 in) and X-Large at 250 mm (9.8 in). Aprons are 150 mm (5.9 in) standard, 180 mm (7.1 in) Large, and 230 mm (9.1 in) X-Large. The live preview draws the real stitch width on the garment so you can see it before you order.
Will I see my design before it's stitched?
Always. We email you a digital mockup within 24 hours of your order, showing your lettering exactly as it will come off the machine.
Do I have to approve it before you start?
No — and this is the part worth reading. We start stitching 48 hours after your order, which leaves you a full day with the mockup in hand to tell us if anything needs changing. Changes are free and there's no limit on them. If we don't hear from you, we take it as a green light and stitch exactly what the mockup shows. You only need to reply if something is wrong.
Can you stitch my logo instead of text?
Our standard bundle covers text lettering. Logo embroidery requires digitizing your artwork into a stitch file, which we handle case by case — send us your logo and we'll quote it.
Can I order extra capes or aprons, or different quantities?

Quality & care
What are the capes and aprons made of?
Capes are lightweight polyester pongee and aprons are Venice worsted — the full detail is at the top of this page. Both are cut in custom black.
Will hair color, bleach or salon chemicals stain them?
Both cloths are chosen to resist it. Color, lightener and the rest of what gets used on the floor sit on the surface rather than soaking into the fibre, so a rinse and a normal wash takes them out instead of leaving a mark. Deal with a spill sooner rather than later and rinse in cold water — heat is what sets a stain.
How do I wash embroidered capes and aprons?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with mild detergent. Hang to dry or tumble dry low. Avoid bleach in the wash, and avoid ironing directly over the embroidery — press from the reverse side if needed.
Will the embroidery fade, peel, or crack?
No — embroidery is thread stitched through the fabric, not a print or vinyl transfer. There's nothing to peel or crack, and quality polyester thread is colorfast through repeated washing and salon chemical exposure.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on every order — no minimums, no codes. Every order ships USPS with tracking, and we email you the tracking number the moment your package is on its way.
How long until my order arrives?
Your mockup arrives within 24 hours of your order, and we start stitching 48 hours after your order. Production takes 2–7 days, and shipping adds 2–5 business days via USPS with tracking — most orders arrive about one to two weeks after you order. Because we don't wait on an approval, your order keeps moving on its own.
Do you ship outside the United States?
We currently ship within the US. Planning a bigger order from elsewhere? Reach out and we'll see what we can do.
Need it by a specific date?
If you have a hard deadline — a salon opening, an event, a photo shoot — contact us before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit your date.
